Culture is key as Avecto appoints new HR chief

Manchester-headquartered endpoint security software company, Avecto, has appointed Diane Jolly to its executive team as HR director, in order to drive further global growth and further develop the company's unique culture.

Having previously been responsible for HR at companies including the security printing company De La Rue, cash technology specialist Glory Global Solutions and engineering consultancy Mouchel, Diane brings with her over 15 years' experience and an in-depth understanding of the technology sector.

In her new role, Diane will be leading an international team focused on identifying, recruiting and developing the best talent in the industry across Avecto’s offices in the UK, US and Europe. She will also work to enhance talent management and development programs, as well as increasing employee satisfaction levels within the business through culture initiatives.

Commenting on her appointment, Diane said: "Avecto is a hugely exciting and ambitious company that has played a key role in maintaining Manchester's position as the home of technological expertise and innovation. The business' culture is also one-of-a-kind and the opportunities and benefits afforded employees are like nothing I’ve seen before.

"This is a company that has grown significantly in a short space of time and will continue to do so in the coming years. We need to ensure that our culture and values are retained and that we continue to add more exciting and unique perks for our team members to enjoy."

"Last year, the business introduced 'early finish Fridays', meaning all employees could start the weekend at 3:30pm. This small gesture has had a profound and positive impact on our employee's work-life balance and I'm hugely excited to see what else we can introduce over the months ahead."

Mark Austin, co-founder and co-CEO at Avecto, said: "It's always difficult to find and retain talent, particularly in the technology industry, which is why we place huge emphasis on making Avecto a great place to work from both a personal and professional point of view. We believe we are the technology employer of choice in Manchester and beyond, but we can't rest on our laurels.

"I'm confident that Diane will be a valuable addition to the team. She has the knowledge and experience we need to take the business to the next level and expand our global presence."
